Looking back on the past 20 years, I feel as though I have been guided by an invisible hand. I simply moved wherever my heart led me, yet I find myself standing at the forefront of the digital civilization transition.
My task has now become clear: to design the Logic Layer of the 'Spatial Web,' the Operating System of a new digital civilization. To realize a Digital Twin that bridges reality and the virtual world, I begin by constructing a Data Ontology for the commercial estate market. In this architecture, the Intelligence Layer of AI generates value upon the foundation of the Logic Layer, all of which is ultimately anchored by the Trust Layer of Crypto where that value is secured.
While AI and Crypto exist in the language of mathematics and code, Ontology is the blueprint of the digital world that establishes the complex phenomena of reality through symbolic logical order and functional relationships. It is a process of capturing the flow of change and multi-dimensional relationships through calculus and linear algebra, quantifying an uncertain world through statistics and discrete mathematics, and translating them into code that computers can understand. Ultimately, the essence of Ontology and Semantics I encountered in computer science was philosophy: defining existence through metaphysics, securing the grounds and validity of knowledge through epistemology, and setting the system's direction through ethics. An information system is a powerful tool that structures philosophical thought and reinforces the data layer through compounding.
For such System Dynamics to lead the world toward a beneficial co-evolution, the Logic Layer must be designed with the humanities—the universal values of mankind—at its core. Technology is the mechanism that enables the system to function, while the energy that breathes life into and moves it comes from the people living their daily lives. We must establish the system's narrative through the mythological archetypes envisioned by Joseph Campbell and move people's hearts with the power of storytelling demonstrated by Disney.
I have followed my interests in every moment. I studied humanities and design, worked part-time at Disney, and served on the front lines of real estate finance. I was moved by the trust network created by Bitcoin, stood in awe of the overwhelming value generated by AI, and was fascinated by the logical structure of research methodologies. I delved into the essence of DCF and value investing, was inspired by the beauty of mathematics, and was captivated by the efficiency and analytical sophistication of information systems. Now, I am building it myself, writing the code for the Spatial Web. I lived more intensely than anyone, yet for me, the entire process was closer to joyful play than work. These experiences are now converging, preparing me to design the governance of the coming era of digital civilization.
To me, work is play, but the playground where I play is a grueling reality where problems constantly arise. I only need to stay the course and never give up. I have discovered my life's purpose, and all I have to do is immerse myself in every single moment as it unfolds.
